Joe: One can go crazy trying to come up with a "reason" for every little wiggle, but this is at least the second or third time that there has been a puff piece in the WSJ about Banish. One of then was the lead article in the "B" section, talking about the possible creation of a new category of consumer product, with drawings of a Banish container and that of the other two competitors. Even though speculative interest in non-Internet small cap stocks was a lot higher then, the stock didn't budge and volume was light. Yesterday's article, reporting the results of a survey in which a lot of people said that they don't like it when co-workers smell bad (duh) should not have produced any response at all.

Also, CNXS may soon reach an agreement with the outfit that it has been fighting in a patent suit. Supposedly they are close to a deal, and that would resolve an uncertainty about the company. My guess is that earnings for the June quarter probably weren't particularly good, so I doubt that is it. The bullish case is not what they are earning now, but what they will earn during the traditionally big quarters, starting up later this year, when advertising expenses are no longer out of control.
