Re: OnMark.

I'm not going to personally do that evaluation unless a client asks me for a writeup. It's quite a robust set of tools and would take longer than I normally do for free. I know some techie folks who have already used it and I used their verbal evaluation to place it in my mental hierarchy of Y2K desktop tools.

Reports from various sources say that it is selling well to large sites. Haven't heard anything from the single user types, though.

From what I hear, documentation is solid and professionally done. The HELP facility is well structured and actually helpful. Performance is good. Best of all, it supports the analysis of spreadsheet source text.

The only drawback I see is that it is an entire suite of tools (similar to WRQ's, only more components) and it might be overkill for the single computer user. The single user is not Viasoft's primary sales target, but they should still get a lot of them using it. Many people are aware of Viasoft because of their mainframe solutions at their place of employment, so they'll naturally want to try the PC'ized version at home on their own PC's. I would assume that some corporations would include support for their employees' home PC's in the corporate license agreement, because so many computerites work at home nowadays.
