Typically, though, with the network of folks I communicate with, if something bad happens ... EVERYBODY knows within a couple of days.

I doubt that WRQ's product was responsible for whatever happened to isoman's machine. The install process doesn't do anything other than use standard Windows functions to open existing files and create new ones. The decompression routine is entirely in-memory. It sounds to me like his disk directory was already corrupted when the install started, and the requirement for lots of disk space caused portions of existing files to get overwritten. Can't guarantee it, of course, but merely installing a package is rarely the cause of errors. Usually it's an application related function that violates Windows protocol and wipes stuff out.

I hope isoman followed instructions and made sure that the install was the only active window.
