INTC was a simple company, making a ton of money on PC's when people where paying 2 to 3K for them. But that is not the case anymore, and INTC will have to diversify quickly if it wants to be an industry leader.

Very flawed reasoning. You'll notice INTC's margins are pretty much the same in spite of the fact that PC prices have fallen. It's the hardware companies that are losing margin as well as the component suppliers such as disk drive manufacturers, monitors, etc. Any margin INTC gives in price, they gain back in volume. And you can't beat 90% market share.

Low end PC's have completely changed the ball game, and INTC is weak in that area.
INTC has no need to go into this area. It's a fad.
