As to Judas; Matthew does not say that Judas did not fall; neither does Peter say that Judas did not hang himself. This is not a matter of one person calling something black and the other person calling it white. Both accounts can be true and supplementary.
This is truly absurd. We're to believe Judas died from his intestines gushing forth and being hanged at the same time? This was never written about or spoken about in their time. Never was a man hanged over a cliff or something where he could die from falling off of. It defeats the purpose!
Anyone with a logical mind can see the discrepancy is obvious and does not try to "explain it away" with such weak arguments.
As I stated before, people can make the most absurd theories on how 2 statements are not contradictory but they can never get around the number discrepancies. Shlom, while you may be satisfied with your answer on Judas's death, if you were ever in front of a large audience or many people and stated what you just told me, you would get a nice chuckle.
2 Samuel 10:18 (700, 40,000 horsemen) 1 Chronicles 19:18 (7000, 40,000 footmen)
Hard to get around these, isnt it?
