I like to listen to Barton Biggs on these international arguments...I know, I know, some people will say he's been too bearish, too long on the US stock market, and while there is some truth to that argument, I still contend that he is an extremely smart man and that predicting the "madness of crowds" is one heck of a hard job...he has my complete empathy, sympathy, etal. The last I heard of his thoughts on Korea were this: He liked their bonds, but thought it was a bit early for their stocks. (And this was probably 3 weeks ago.) We should probably check the Asia thread here at SI (seems to be a knowledgeable bunch) and of course do further research. And I agree their debt-load is awful, but they are very hard-working... and somehow, someway they've got to pull out of this mess. Your thoughts? I have a brother-in-law in Singapore right now... think I'll write him.
