Thanks for the WSJ article confirming EU approval of the WCOM/MCI merger. Unless something totally unpredictable occurs, it is to all intents and purposes a "done deal".

As others have suggested, the price of MCIC will gradually converge on the (WCOM x 1.2439) price as July 8th approaches. DOJ approval is almost a certainty.

Beyond merger day, my concern is how quickly and painlessly WCOM can change the corporate culture of MCI and digest what was a low-growth struggling entity, without impacting the WCOM bottom line. Although it is now the darling of the Street crowd, one stumble and WCOM could be mauled by the same analysts who now glorify it. Once the 'marriage' of WCOM and MCI is consummated, it may be a short honeymoon.
