Patrick, I expect this quarter to be stronger than the pessimists expect. I think retail sales will be strong at the stores that are able to get supplies. I do not expect the shortages of high end Pentium Pros to ease until Q197. I believe Intel underestimated the demand and now has to make up for it. I think that the corporate upgrade cycle continues and the laptops are selling better than expected. This is a slower quarter for DELL government sales but I expect that won't matter much. Your estimates though seem reasonable. I have not updated my model for the share split yet. Nor have I quantified the impact of Christmas sales on DELL to my satisfaction. I'm working on it. I 'll let you know when I ve got some good numbers. Got any good ideas for deferring taxes till next year? It hard working the tax sitiuation with options. Jim K.
