OT------- Re:estimed, I would wager that while esteemed would be the common form, a case could be made for the usage of estimed based on its close ties to the Romance languages. Janice is, I believe, multilingual, and probably was thinking of the French estime or even the Medieval Latin stimo. Personally I was impressed by this little slippage. And I'm sure Janice will be the first to laugh at herself for making it. I'll bet she is delighted to have you notice it; any scholar would be.
