MIME is a method for sending binary files through ascii text
transmission systems (all mail systems will handle ascii text).
The MIME type is a typing mechanism for determining what
application will read the resulting file transmitted. MIME
types are platform-independent, sort of; you still have to
specify a platform-specific app to interpret the type.

MIME is an acronym, but I forget what it stands for. MAIL
for sure is one of the M's.

Anyhow, the most effective way to stop saving QP files is
to delete or rename the QP app that does it. I forget
what it's called, but nuke the sucker and I guarantee you
Netscape will not find it (nor anybody else).

This was the best answer to Pham's earlier question too,
but I missed it (not figuring out what file type he
wanted, duh, should have been obvious<G>).
