Thanks for the reference. It is important to note that Aldila is planning to manufacture carbon fiber starting in early 1998, with an initial production capacity of 2.5 million lbs per year. See techstocks.com

Competition for Zoltek? Probably not directly. Zoltek carbon is not for golf shafts. Aldila carbon is not for industrial applications nor for civil engineering projects.
