Colin, that quote is listed as applicable if a certain code is next to your transaction on the confirmation page. And virtually all transactions have that code annotated to the trade.

And it makes a whole lot of difference, since, as most firms do, if they sell their order flow to other firms, then you end up NOT getting a fair price. This is what Datek promotes as being their best benefit, and that's why some question why trades are still showing up this way. Island was supposed to get their broker/dealer number in October 1997, so it seems curious that this still goes on.
