It was widely know that Ascend's "gain" and 3Com's "loss" of systems market share was because it's a measurement of shipments into the sales channel, and 3Com was clearing the channel by deliberately not shipping into it. Nonetheless, your point about good margins and a sequential uptick in systems shipments (despite lower unit prices) is a very strong positive.
