Basically, I apply some classic momentum indicators and a price trigger! I got the ideas from a site called The Options Nerd, which has daytrading lessons for free if you sign up. They generate their own alerts but you can do it yourself after you learn the data collection and crunching required. I use an oscillator an exponential moving average of advance and decline NYSE issues to determine oversold and overbought zones and then I set a price "trigger." They taught me this "trigger" mechanism, which keeps you out of many bad trades.
