Let's hypothetically say Amd and CYrix and IDTI all get out of the business (very unlikely, but anyway).. What happens, Intel's margins shoot way the hell up and guess what.. someone else (or NSM, AMD, etc.) start making Intel compatible CPUs again. Intel is stuck with competition whether they like it or not.

All right. Then let me try this one. Intel can out produce AMD and Cyrix in both production (volume) and quality (speed). That will allow them to continue to be profitable even while Cyrix/AMD continue to lose money. Do you see this changing anytime soon? Do you expect prices to continue to fall?
