Well you raised some interesting points. I think I am going to have to sleep on it. Maybe it will all go away tomorrow. ;-)
WEll I'm not saying I like where this is going either. As an investor I don't. But as a consumer and a BIG tech booster I do like the idea that computers are becoming less and less of an elite thing. The internet and computers may very well be the thing that finally brings peace to this world. Why? (some inspritational thoughts coming ;-) )
Let's take the 2 of us for example. I don't know whether you are black, white, purple or green. I don't know if you are jewish, a satanist, catholic, athiest (in no particular order ;-). I don't know if you are married, single, straight, gay or bi. I don't even know for sure where you live, and yet we have meaningful discussions.
On the internet, people are just people and the only impression you get of a person is the one they create. This could be the "Great unificator" of the world (I inveted that word, but it sounds good ;-) )
