Andy,

>>It really looks to me like the corporations run everything and the national governments are irrelevant. That article about Loral in the Spectator was interesting.

Whether it is religious, corporate or electoral, all are governing bodies exhibiting different shades of control.

Somehow, having Bill Gates in control of my Internet access decisions will not leave me with the feeling that I am better off then if the Feds mandated that all PC's use Federal Explorer or the Ayatollah declares Netscape as the one true browser. Any decision that is made on 'my behalf' and of which I have no control over, is a government action in my book.

As far as Loral goes; my guess is that the spreadsheets used by the Chinese military for targeting information were written in Redmond. Of course, Excel's recalc bugs could send a missile about anywhere.

Cheers,

Norm
