Dave, while I agree with your assessment of management's poor historical performance, I think we may be about to turn a corner here. I take issue with your negative view of the industry-- sure, it's a competitive industry, but it is growing dramatically with no end in sight. CGIX *claims* that they rarely encounter 3rd party competition on their bids (I hear the same story from other IT services companies, hard as it may be to believe). They have good product niches, and have a nice government logistics business which will serve them well. Finally, they hired a new sales/ business development guy, who is on the ball. He recognizes not only CGIX's opportunities, but also it's weaknesses. This company definitely needs a shot in the arm from a good manager (not a scientist), and this guy may be just that. CGIX was included as one of 10 contractors on a big $300 million contract awarded to CSC as prime, for defense/intelligence logistics. This is right up the CGIX alley. If they post a decent quarter here, they should be on the road back to credibility. . . albeit a long and steeply uphill road.
Cheers,
Thomas
