I really never believed you can just call a store and ask them how sales are doing and get a straight answer. Do you know all the folks you spoke with? would they be willing to do the favor and answer this question even if they knew? I know I would just want you off the phone to be honest... Just 3 weeks back I bought my v-2 and did NOT have my choice of cards. I always laughed when people would tell stories of standing in line with the card and having people comment.. well, not only did someone comment when I was in line with the card but also a father and son started rambling about how great it was when I was looking at software. I believe sales are going to start slowing, and prices will start coming down, and I also believe the banshee will ship in late August to give recover any shortfall just as expected. If you honestly believe that there will be a shortfall in sales, it would mean that oppenheimer was correct in saying the market is saturated and this would mean the entire 3d industry is in SERIOUS trouble. I dont see this as a possible scenario. I disagree with your opinion and how it was obtained, but its a scary thought non the less.
