Dear Gregor, I most certainly hope that noone here receives the slightest feeling of judgment or condemnation over discussion of ANYTHING going on in American in the name of our precious Lord.
Personally, I am a total purist. The truth, the total and complete truth? I have only been completely and totally happy sitting on the floor for lack of formal front-seated chair arrangements, singing, praising and speaking without a hint of direction of anything but the Spirit of the Living God, which is Christ Jesus.
So, OF COURSE I don't like anything else.
:)
But if anything else is setting a national precedent, which will in fact take everyone down a very carnal road in the end, that is just history of 2000 years repeating itself every 30 years or so all the way down the line.
So, OF COURSE I wonder about it, and much of the time despise everything I see, starting with Tammy BAker's pill-popping (you know she was totally rev's on prescibed drugs of the same line as Elvis Presley, don't you? Same with Jan on TBN. These women are drugged because of their "depression". Well, something's wrong right there when two drugged women-- so depressed they need legal drugs to keep them "up"-- are leading the nation in prayer and social behaviors which are repulsive looking and strangely acting. Such things should not be, period..)
I would rebuke satan verbally and turn Tammy and her equally curious acting husband off in the early 70s for pete's sake. And how the eyes would roll and I'd get this sister, sister, touch not God's annointed stuff.
Anyway, we are not here to judge each other, but to judge the spirit of anything happening, to see if it is the pure Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ, and that's all. Amen? And if it's just a little off what we personally prefer, to be tolerant.
But as for barking demons and howling possessed, I think we all need to fall back, regroup, and decide who conned us into buying this act in the first place, if in fact the Toronto Blessing is happening anywhere and has not been sent back to the faked experience pit where it belongs. |
