ending 01/98 from $5.73 to $6.81 on 11/27/96
DELL: ROBERTSON STEPH made new estimate for long term EPS
growth of 20.00% per year on 11/12/96

Regarding, taxes I think that Clinton will go along with the capital gains
reduction. So deferring till next year is a good idea.
I suppose I could lock in my gains with long term puts and ride them
into Jan 1997, instead of selling them. I do not worry about my
Keough or IRA's only the regular accounts. The only other thing I can think of
is to exercise the options. I think that will defer taxes.

I am not complaining about the taxes. I am only trying to be conservative.
