Yes. You are 100% correct. I remember Fess Parker as Davy Crockett and Buddy Ebsen as his friend. Mike Fink is another name that comes to mind. Thousand of Mexican soldiers scaling the massive walls of the Alamo with makeshift ladders. Four poster beds made from rough hewn logs.

When I got there I found the walls were short enough to make speed bumps look insurmountable. The jail cells were barely larger than 4'x4'x4'. And most of the interesting stuff was donated by private families, not all of which were actual relics from the Alamo.

See, if they put Disney in charge, then the place would really be something.
