Fred:
I agree, that T could see 100 by year end, but being a conservative type, I think more like 70-80 would be a fair bet. 100? Sure, as we go into 1999, and Armstrong pulls a few more rabbits out of the hat, and analysts realize how to value T going forward, rather than looking in the rear-view for valuation. Not sure if ATT will get the "internet stock" association, but I'm very long on both T and NOVL, who both are involved in growing into the internet area with a vengeance, and have yet received their deserved price multiple. Just glad to see some leadership from Armstrong in cracking the ice open into the apparent monopoly that cable industry currently holds. Heck, can't wait for T to kick my local cable company out, as they are way too expensive (rates going up 5-7%/year with add-ons that I don't want!) and don't allow internet access yet.
