Have you thought about the following? If Cabletron gets
bought out, how many networkers are left? Seems to me
there are more world-wide telecom kingpins than there
are networkers available (even lousy ones).

I use to think IBM also, but haven't heard any
relationships with them and COMS for a while. COMS,
imo, will want to merge with appropriate cultural mix
and also correctly complementing products, unlike an
ASCND with someone else.

Plus, NOW, COMS has lots more experience with mergers!<gg>

If all works out correctly, CSCO and COMS will be the last
holdouts...CSCO may never merge....COMS I think would
consider it for the right price...and there will be
more desperate telecom-equip buyers by winter.<g>

(all wishful thinking, but ....<gg>)
