If endostatin works as well in humans as it does in mice it will be the most serious competition to all other available and future cancer drugs. Those other drugs may still have their chance in combination therapy. Endostatin will not be an approved product in two years but we may know by then how well it works. If it does not work particulary well it will probably need more time to figure out if it is a useful drug. But if it works as well in humans as it does in mice it could be the first cancer drug that demonstrates efficacy in a phase I trial. Andreas
