Keep in mind that Micronet makes CD recorders for music. An analyst on CNBC was talking about them, mentioning that Phillips has issued a consumer model with little fanfare (the major music companies are terrified at the prospect). Phillips will have two new models next month, or soon. I've seen their low key ads during prime time on all the networks. I bought the Phillips myself for$600, the micronet was a bit pricey, and they don't make a consumer version ........YET. Aren't all of you folks tired of paying 12 bucks for your CDs, discs that are cheaper to make than those globs of plastic they used for records? I'm paying a dollar per blank disc, and loading them up with everything I can get my hands on at the library, including, but not limited to, SPIKE JONES, my idol. This is simply to get even for the companies not giving me an "upgrade" discount when I replaced all my old vinyl. Screw 'em they can't take a joke.. The consumer is FINALLY in control!. It's just too bad, a shame really, that the world will probably end one second past midnight, as we enter Jan 1, 1900. Damn. Al |
