Eski,
IMO you would not have seen RNTK mention the TX deal in their annual report, and in yesterdays PR if they were not real close. There would be no point in releasing it if they were not in advanced stages of the deal in fact those were Yaks exact words in the annual report and I quote from paragraph 2 " The Company is in the advanced stages of negotiations with Texaco Group Inc. for the licensing of its proprietary and patented technology, and we are hopeful that the talks will be successfully completed in the near future. The primary focus of these negotiations is the proposed use of the Rentech process in conjunction with Texaco's gasification technology for the conversion of refinery bottoms and other carbon-bearing materials to valuable liquid hydrocarbons. Texaco is one of the, if not the, world's leaders in the field of gasification that produces the synthesis gas, a mixture of hydrogen and carbon monoxide, which is the actual feedstock to Rentech's conversion process."

My broker spoke with a lawyer that specializes in corporate law and he said that if a company made a statement like this in an annual report and it (the deal) did not happen they would never survive the impending class action lawsuits from shareholders.
