I know many of you are disappointed that MO did not participate in the rally of the last few days. Don't despair! We are in a lot better shape now than we have been for months. There is still a lot of UNCERTAINTY here which needs to be resolved. After defeating the McCain bill, we all hold our breath whenever someone in Congress or the President speaks. The uncertainty as to what may or may not come out of Congress is holding the stock back.
My view here is the same. I see nothing substantial getting passed by Congress before the midterm elections. The Culprit: To much hostility and resentment here and no leadership from Slick. When it finally sinks into investors minds that no substantial bill will pass, I see MO rallying to the $45 level, which is where the heaviest resistance is. We should pause for a while there and consolidate before we move into the low to mid 50's by year end. If the Republicans make big gains in the mid term elections, I forsee a huge rally. If Democrats take over the House ( which I doubt ) MO sells off big time. IMHO
