What you quoted did zero to advance your argument.

Ram not only will be a commodity because of Intel or whatever. It is now.

Rambus will get about 2% from Ram producers. Off the top. That's nothing. And it's irrelevant that RAM producers' profits may not be much bigger. It doesn't affect their profits. It a cost of doing business. For everyone.

Its a large market. Huge. 2% added to the top is nothing. Especially if everyone is paying it.

What happens is that while the price per bit keeps going down, the number of bits of RAM wanted keeps going up. An old story.
