Art,

You certainly seem to understand your risk factors, and you stated that you are aware that having everything in one stock goes against every thing you know about investing. You also state that your trust in Mr. Murphy is why you have "bet" your whole portfolio on one stock.

My reason for mentioning what I did was that I hear many young people talking on various SI threads of putting all the funds they can get their hands on into one stock. They seem to feed on info from people close to company officials or others that convince them that the stock is almost a sure thing, to the extent of not understanding why any one would be selling the stock with all the great potential they see in the future for the stock.

Like you Art, I am long DCTC as well as a few other BB stocks. I certainly like what I see going on and I will feel even stronger when the Locust deal closes, and I will be at the annual meeting to hear any other news on the future. My approach is probably different than most. I have been retired 10 years and investing for 45 years. My portfolio is weighted 60% in quality stocks like INTC,CISCO,PFE MFST and MO, as well as a balance of bonds and prefered stocks. My BB stocks represent only 25% of my portfolio, although I devote all my time to this segment, and it is the most exciting part of my portfolio. ON BB stocks I try to maintain a degree of professional skepticism on issues that are not fact based, and I always try to double check for second sources on information that is not from official sources.

Good Luck in your investing.

PS= I can relate to your Bingo experience since I am long that stock. The new management is making significant progress and I am looking for a turn around.
