SanDisk is not involved in resale of their CF cards. That is to say, they have their own product line which goes head to head with the other companies I mentioned. Additionally, they produce cards for some of the digital camera manufacturers such as Kodak and Casio.

So far I have learned through my own research that the following companies obtain CF cards from various manufacturers...

Lexar Media-------------> Lexar Media
Simple Technology-------> Lexar Media
Microtech----------------> Hitachi
PNY Technologies-------> ???
Viking Components------> ???

Can someone please help me fill in the question marks. It is possible that PNY and Viking receive their cards from someone who pays royalties to SNDK. In that case I am afraid I screamed "the sky is falling" a bit too soon.
