Joe, I too am long term long, and used almost the same logic contained in your post to settle my stomach over the past few days. I am also a long term critic of Tava's PR campaign, although I believe Jenkins and Kelso are talented, hardworking, honest, and very bright officers. There are a few things bothering me:
1) Jenkins at the SHM stated he was beefing up IR --- I haven't seen it.
2) Scott's experience is really suspect. Look at the timing of announcements, what was left off, how momentum wasn't sustained.
3) Look at the latest announcement. A pilot project in an area outside of Tava's experience, and with a county govt. What was going through their head? Was this more noteworthy than for example the coke completion? How many TAVA employees are working on the GM problem? Is that still a pilot?
4) Jenkins stated in January that they were so busy they weren't interested in pilots anymore. Three months later they take on another pilot, why?
5) Why hasn't Scott seen fit to tell us one thing about our alliances lately. What's happening with wonderware and Flour and CMED.
6) Why does Tava view its shareholders as not entitled to any direction from the company with regard to its progress on key projects. KEA and IMNR provide this info so disclosure restrictions can't be the sole reason.
7) If the analysts and mutual funds were given what us lowly shareholders aren't entitled to at the recent dog and pony show, they seem to be underwhelmed with the info.
8) Why the amateur hour conference call. If the CO and CFO were in
San Diego planning, why couldn't they spend a few hours rehearsing how to present their info at the conference call. Did they again think this was insignificant to the shareholders?
9) This was the second botch-up on conference calls. The one in the fall was rescheduled because they thought something else was more important, and maybe it was, but sure feels to me that we as a group are being short by IR.
10)Good luck coming up with anything close to a realistic financial model. No wonder we draw the Bill Wexler's and Mr. Pink's of the world. We deserve them. Come on John and Keven, spend a few hours on a real release. I don't have much hope for Scott, but, what the heck, if he can email Wexler ( a short) maybe he can email me.
