** Personal and Confidential from SI Admin Bob
Note: The following is a reply to a Private Message I sent to SI Admin Bob earlier today. Although Bob did write the words "personal and confidential" on top, I figure since only FBN people read this thread and since we are all friends, I'd share it with everyone.
=====
Jeff,
I'd like to first thank your wife for the peach cobbler she sent the staff earlier this week. Peach is Jill's favorite. And please also thank Janice for me for Amarone Doc Classico, 1988; I found it extraordinarily full-bodied, intense, elegant and dry.
Now, as to your questions, I'll try to answer them as best I can:
Jeff and Brad Dreyer have never posted at the same time. Are they really two different people? If so, are they brothers?
Jeff, do you recall those wildly successful commercials for Bartels and James wine coolers? Did you know those supposed "down home" guys were really multimillionaires fronting for a product made by a billion dollar company? If you read the GNET 10K carefully you will see that Brad and Jeff were brothers picked by a modelling agency and SI was really started by a guy name Manuel Asensio.
Is it true that SI personnel read Personal Messages from members?
Come on Jeff. You've read enough SI messages to know that all people say in public is "big news coming" and "has anyone heard this or that rumor" type crap. All the juicy stuff takes place behind the scenes: details of earnings reports, advance copies of press releases, etc. Occasionally we come across one of those "who's sleeping with who" type messages; those go up on the wall.
How much money does an SI Admin make?
Well, that depends on the day. Much like policemen get compensated for the number of traffic tickets they issue, I get paid for how many warnings and suspensions I hand out. That's why after the FBN people stepped it up a bit and all those people starting getting so ticked off, I went car shopping.
I've heard the SI T-shirts are made by Pakistani children for pennies a day. Is that true?
Absolutely not. SI T-shirts are made using prison labor in China. The SI logo is then added by Burmese migrants in Thailand.
I think a stock I owned went down because of something bad someone said on the SI thread about it. Can I have that person suspended?
That depends. If someone here in the office also lost money on that stock, absolutely. Otherwise, we'll take it on a case by case basis.
Someone made a comment about a stock I own who admitted they never called the company to ask questions. Can I have that person suspended?
Normally in those cases I'll issue a warning. Then I'll monitor that person's personal messages to see what he says about me. If he ticks me off, I'll send a message in his name to someone who doesn't like him.
FBN always seems to make the Hot Subject list. Why?
The more people who read what Janice writes, the more people who go ballistic, the more people who get tossed off, the more money I make. But I think you already knew that!
Do you have a sense of humor?
Are you kidding me? Haven't you read any of those pathetic pleas I get to let people back on SI? They're hilarious! I especially like the ones from people who claim to be millionaire Presidents and CEOs. LOL. And all those people who say they're gonna sue my ass... ROFLMAO! Yes, I go home with a smile every day. :=)

Note: Other than the part about me exchanging private messages with Bob, I haven't changed a thing from what I originally wrote. However, some of the names were changed to protect the innocent and some of the characters are composites. In some places I did use some creative license and wrote what I thought I would say if I were Bob. This message also contains forward-looking statements which are made pursuant to the Safe-Harbor provisions of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995. |
