Just catching up here, fwiw, heard Crowe's presentation and breakout at NBMO earlier this week. This XCOM acquisition purports to offer LVLT full SS7 capabilities in an IP switch to complete the missing link in offering true full service VOIP. They want to be vendor independant though (read - an interoperable standard). They also plan on using what WMB announced recently - web-based customer configuration of services. Crowe is both impressive in delivery and knows his stuff. I hoped to press more detail but they had to leave. I was given some management contacts, so will be following up on details of some of the issues raised.
