yah, you pulled this off the dow jones from an analyst comment. the fact is that several companies have been embroiled in conflicts but still ended up buying stake in order to protect from the possibility of a competitor buying them. their conflicts are business as usual. nothing new here. look at Monsanto's history.

Gruntal upped Amgen to strong buy. those short Amgen started the rumor in order to create disappointment and continue their game of shorting at $66, covering at $60. it's been their butter stock for some time. create a nonsensical rumor to cloud the real issue, then short. Amgen's earnings will increase significantly from the increased reimbursements. I'll think you'll have to find another lie in the meantime.

what's funny about stocks like Amgen is that shorts and longs start to believe their own fabrications. Amgen is certainly ripe for the picking. Everyone has their price, even Amgen's CEO.
