It does not appear that AG Edwards has done its homework. They and many others are misreading this company. While everyone is looking for new production from the LP lines, they are overlooking the tremendous growth that ULBI is having with its other high quality batteries.
For example, last year the gross sales of their primary 9v high performance lithium battery were approximately $7,000,000. I have looked through the financial reports and come away with that figure, although it might not be precise, it is fairly accurate. By increasing the daily output to 20,000 batteries per day, or 7,300,000 per year, the gross sales increase to nearly $30,000,000 per year. That is an increase of about 325%! They can easily attain these numbers because they have sufficient line capacity, which allows them to rotate in and out of production for preventative maint.
Gross sales of $30,000,000 for just the 9v is easily attainable. The demand comes from states mandating the use of the 10yr guaranteed lithium battery for use in smoke detectors. Increasing demand is also appearing in the medical telemetry field. In fact it is the battery that is recommended by HP. There we go again that HP name keeps popping up. Anyway, that equates to $3.00 per share in sales just for this one product. The figures that I am quoting are not my guesstimates, but hard figures that I have come up with just by doing a little research.
Of course, the new LP will be just icing on the cake. Along with many other products such as the ultra thin lithium battery that will be used in smart cards and is presently being used by the US Post Office in conjunction with transponders to track assets in the postal system.
The question is, how the hell can AG Edwards miss all of this?
