Pat, Your prudent response may have more weight than one might think. Look back on the deployment of the Ascend product IP Navigator...Announced in Dec.96 as being in test...and earlier this year once again announced as still being in test and soon to be ready for release. Ascend is only playing the same game everyone else is...garnering mind share and stalling the decisionmaking process to push the real product delivery date closer to the clients desired delivery. These products are immensely complex vis a vis the few words required to paint them as done deeds. Too bad we didn't have some kind of hype award which would officially rate announcements on their veracity ...something like the Darwin awards....Announcements we could do without. Frank Edwards
