I understand the Eastside Journal ran an article saying that AOL and Garden Botanika were to announce some sort of marketing agreement. Can anyone confirm this?
On GBOT-Garden Botanika, 7mm share px 1 1/8 down from 36
110million in sales (less that 1/10th revs)
In last 2 months started marketing botanically based products on QVC/homeshopping network and set up website GardenBotanika.com.
Company stopped catalogue last june, hurt sales, now to be anniversaried with new advertising media kicking in.
Company got $10,000,000 line of credit from the foothill group, asset based lenders, so I think that Foothill must have determined in bankruptcy the assets are worth a good premium to current price. Company wrote off impaired assets and unprofitable stores which it is closing. This is a great internet test case to see if they can turn things around using the net.
