This is true. It really comes down to a perception of "Quality". People think the ketchup is better when it comes in a Hunts bottle. I would rather shop at QFC (a grocery store) than Safeway ( a grossery store) because I have the perception that QFC has better quality items.

It will come down to the same thing with Etailing. I may go to amzn because they are the biggest advertiser, but eventually I will hear of another and give it a try. The perception of quality, service, speed, ease of use, will win my loyalty.
