T-NETIX VeriNet(SM) Judged 'Must See Technology' by PC Week Magazine at PC Expo
NEW YORK and ENGLEWOOD, Colo., June 26 /PRNewswire/ -- T-NETIX, Inc. (Nasdaq: TNTX - news), a leading provider of fraud prevention and advanced call processing technologies, products and services, received at the PC Expo in New York, the ''Must See Technology'' designation by PC Week magazine for its recently announced VeriNet(SM) network security products. VeriNet(SM) products secure the identity of network users and provide a framework to secure Internet e-commerce transactions as well as access to high security information servers, files, folders and data bases.
The ''Must See Technology'' designation was determined by a team of judges comprised of PC Week editors, PC Week lab analysts and PC Week Corporate Partners -- acknowledging the best and most innovative products introduced by the more than 900 exhibitors at PC Expo and Web.X in New York. Winners were announced at a ceremony at PC Expo hosted by PC Week Editor in Chief Eric Lundquist, and Mark Dineen, Group Show Director.
''Clearly, all the stakeholders in network and Internet technologies -- from infrastructure vendors to service providers to consumers -- are concerned justifiably about security,'' said Tom Huzjak, CEO and Chairman of T-NETIX. ''VeriNet(SM) products, by proving the identity of the human being involved in a network transaction, address the remaining weak link in the network security chain. Through its innovative use of the IP network, in-place PC hardware and software and compatibility with prevalent browser and server software technologies, VeriNet(SM) technology will be easily and cost efficiently added to enterprise network security systems.''
VeriNet(SM) uses patented and patent pending T-NETIX SpeakEZ Voice Print(SM) technology. Through an innovative proprietary process, it is able to facilitate secure and qualitative communication of the key characteristics of a person's voice between a client terminal and a server without using Internet telephony -- a technology in which voice quality is still under development. VeriNet(SM) software uses standard PC sound cards and microphones for the user interface.
''We appreciate the recognition from PC Week magazine and the team at PC Expo of the innovative characteristics of our VeriNet(SM) technology,'' added Huzjak. ''We look forward to working with other network security technology providers to provide more complete security solutions for businesses and their customers.''
