Lynn,

I think it is the Intel advertising not the CompUSA sales people. The people we deal with at that store know the product and are very helpful. I have noticed they are very careful to be informative about products but not to push any brand. My Wife knows I own Intel stock. I also own tens times more compaq then intc.

Checked out a Radio Shack store down town Philadelphia during lunch. They have a Compaq display with one desk top and two monitors. Chatted with salesman. Summary - Not a clue! Agreement is new and Radio Shack has 6,000 locations to get up to speed. However, sales people have to know something about the product or you don't make any sales. Needs work. Maybe problem wasn't IBM, but Radio Shack.

I'm not doing well with this notebook shopping thing.
