To all:

Is it possible to modify a variable in an if, then, else statement?
I get errors trying to do this. (data array assignments are not valid in function arguments)

Mtest:=0;
{does not work}
If(C>5,mtest1:=10,mtest1:=5);
mtest1

I know this can be written differently but it is part of a more complex indicator and there are no for or do while loops available.

Paul has shown some great examples of using bars since in that respect

thanks
bdog
