Alcatel to provide telecommunications networks for Spanish group Cableuropa (Alcatel fournira les reseaux de telecom de l'espagnol Cableuropa) 06/26/98 Les Echos Page 16 Copyright(C) 1998 Abstracted from Les Echos in French; Source: World Reporter (TM) French telecommunications and electronics group Alcatel yesterday announced that it is to provide and install cable telecommunications networks for companies associated with Cableuropa, one of Spain's most prominent telecommunications operators. The contract with the Spanish group is worth in excess of FFr 1.2 bn.This figure could rise to almost FFr 1.3 bn if Cableuropa obtains a licence to operate over a greater area. The networks to be installed will be used for wide band interactive services operating via fibre optics.
