Hi, Steve -- Gap created when God cast Lucifer from heaven, stopped the earth in its tracks for an unknown period of time. Won't wash. There is ample evidence of multiple extinction events, of many bolide impacts over time. No evidence of a cosmic "time-out", life continued from inception throughout time. This is a revision of the original "scientific creationism" to account for some of the more egregious - and widely known - inconsistencies. And don't call it a theory in the scientific sense, cause there's no evidence for it.
Steve, if it makes you feel happy, or more secure, or more correct to believe it, please do so. But don't come to me with a proposal to use my tax dollars to preach it in schools as science, and don't try to feed it to my kids in a science text -- Jeff |
