marc, **Off-Topic**

I had puts on several semi-equips months ago(as a very small percentage of my portfolio). They expired worthless, because the market was in my view very slow to catch on. At today's prices, many of the semi-equips are too low to short, IMO. Some are at or very near their '96 lows (LRCX, for instance). I posted the other day that I bought KLAC at 24-7/8, expected it to go lower and would buy more on the way down.

The only reason I don't go ahead and buy AMAT today is its valuation. (And I've already posted this on the thread.) You can check the numbers, but it is FAR IN EXCESS of the valuations it bottomed at in Jul/Aug/Sep/Oct ish '96. ....and on top of that, I see no light at the end of the tunnel (except a possible train). So what's the hurry?

There has been no "apparent disconnect" between what I post and what I do, in my view.

Do you have anything to add to our discussions regarding the outlook for the semi-equips or did you just come here to play antagonist or something?
