Announcement on BusinessWire:

TULSA, Okla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 2, 1996--Multimedia Games, Inc. (NASDAQ:MGAM) announced today that the executive committee of the National Indian Gaming Association (NIGA) unanimously passed a resolution in support of the National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) decisions: a) that proxy-play of Class II bingo is allowable under the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA); and b) that MegaMania(TM), the high speed video bingo game created by MGAM, is a Class II game as defined by IGRA and is in compliance with IGRA and the regulations of the NIGC.

Mr. Gordon T. Graves, chairman and CEO of MGAM, said, "At a time when the opinion of Multimedia Games, the largest supplier of satellite and telephone linked games for Class II bingo, and the National Indian Gaming Commission that the MegaMania is a Class II game is being uestioned by some federal and state officials it is very rewarding to have the National Indian Gaming Association, representing 154 Indian Nations, indicate their support for decisions made by the NIGC regarding our Class II games."

"Trying to provide technology to the Indian Nations in a manner contemplated by Congress has required MGAM and the 52 Indian Nations that participate in our games to provide extensive detail to the NIGC for their review. The NIGC, as the NIGA recognized in their resolution, has spent over two years in deliberations and investigations before they issued their interpretation of how proxy play and MegaMania(TM) fit within IGRA."

The NIGC is the Federal regulatory agency established by Congress with passage of IGRA in 1988 to promulgate regulations to interpret and enforce certain aspects of IGRA.

The NIGA is an association of 154 sovereign Indian Nations that are active in the gaming industry.

Multimedia Games, Inc., through its wholly owned subsidiary, MegaBingo, Inc. has exclusive contracts with over 50 Indian nations to provide linked games that are integrated among multiple halls. Multimedia Games, Inc. is the nation's leading provider of linked, high-stakes bingo games, electronic-based bingo games and data processing services and products to the Indian gaming industry.
