Just once I'd like to see briefing.com do a modicum of research on Y2K before they make comments about Y2K related stocks. Their research reminds me of a weatherman trying to predict whether a tornado is coming in Kansas by counting the number of farmers who are still riding their tractors.
Don't get me wrong. I certainly do agree that the code isn't flowing to Y2K vendors like I and others have anticipated -- yet. And I also think, in Alydaar's case, they haven't been able to separate themselves from the pack -- yet. However, what bothers me is that briefing.com apparently hasn't taken the time to talk to Y2K related analysts, programmers, management, etc. They don't seem to have a clue whether this is the calm before the storm and thus investors should load up on well-positioned companies like ALYD, or, perhaps, that Y2K is a bunch of hype and it's all down hill from here. Either way, I'd have more respect for them.
What also irks me is that, if I were a reporter, before I write someone doesn't have a clear plan for something, I'd at least first call that company and ask them accordingly. And since when does, ostensibly, a "news" story end with a "guess" and a "rumor" ?
