STAMPEDE EXTENDS CLASS I WARRANTS AND CLASS II WARRANTS

CALGARY, June 25 /CNW/ - Stampede Oils Inc. announces that, subject to
regulatory approval, it has extended the expiry date for the exercise of Class
I Warrants from June 30, 1998 to September 30, 1998 and for the exercise of
Class II Warrants from September 30, 1998 to November 30, 1998. Two Class I
Warrants will entitle the holder thereof to purchase one common share at any
time on or before 4:30 p.m. (local time) on September 30, 1998 at an exercise
price of $1.00 per common share. Four Class II Warrants will entitle the
holder thereof to purchase one common share on or before 4:30 p.m. (local
time) on November 30, 1998 at an exercise price of $2.00 per common share.
