Midland must pay the promised dividend on the MIDLP. The moment the Board of Directors declared a dividend to Shareholders of Record (SOR) 5/29/98, then by law (and SEC rules) they must eventually pay it. (it could get dragged out for months and months, until the current mess is straightened out, but it will get paid)

Part of the rules are that one must also own the shares as of the ex-date (which if it weren't botched up would have been 5/29/98), which to my knowledge hasn't been established AND may not until the current mess is straightened out.

As long as one is SOR 5/29/98 and they own the shares as of the ex-date (which is set by Nasdaq and could be 5/29/98 or a couple of days after receiving the paperwork) they will get the dividend which is implemented as a 3-2 split.

Anybody know if the dividend paperwork was submitted and when??

Kurt
