Hi, Shalom -- The term "psychic geologist" is an old joke regarding geologists who don't have the time to do research; it involves waving one's hand over a map (the smaller the scale the better) and saying "Dig here". My problem with Steve's argument is that it is the same one used in attempts to get creationist beliefs taught as science in public schools on an "equal time" basis. The proper place for this is not science class, because it is demonstrably NOT SCIENCE. It is faith. My interpretation of creation is not at issue here; as I tried to explain to Steve, the difference between Biblical creation a la Genesis and the scientific study of origins is a gulf too wide to bridge. If you feel that evolution is a joke, that is your right. But as a scientist, and a Christian, I believe that it is "God's fingerprint"... Jeff
